  1.  @wuestion9473  Cats are often seen as regal and have been exalted by those who love and live with them (at least this roommate does) so it's an obvious trope to give their voice a sense of that dominant cattitude. People are cruel to all kinds of animals, but getting upset at someone for what you recognized as a joke was silly. Maybe direct that outrage towards the important stuff like factory farming and the Sixth Mass Extinction?

  2.  @pinklightninggacha  Not so much gods but definitely revered as divine and magical beings. And any religion that loves cats can't be all bad so points to Islam for that.
