@Mason Rued It's not a deflection to point out that both parties are to blame for the mess we are in at as a nation. I don't think we've been closer to tearing ourselves apart than since the 1960's or maybe the 1860's The majority of Republicans and Democrats at the federal level are being told what to do by the oligarchs that own the country and back both parties. Both sides are complicit in program after program that's hurt entire regions of the unemployed and working poor in the United States. The Republicans pretty much en mass have been and continue to be the worst of a bad bunch, but there are plenty more Chuck and Nancy neo-liberals than Bernie and Tulsi progressives in the Democrats party that seem to think that making sure the Donor class get the first, best, and possibly complete bite at the apple is the correct choice - or at least the financially expedient one. The vast majority of Democrats today would of had to run as moderate Republicans in the 1980's.

@Mason Rued What is there to discuss about the Republicans? They've been the main problem since the early 70's after a number of mostly Southern state Democrats (aka Dixiecrats) switched to the Republican party and their states went from supporting Democrats to Republicans. They became the party of such charmers as David Duke, Oliver North, Newt Gingrich and Darth Cheney himself. And they've never met a poor person they weren't happy to send to war or exploit financially all while beating you over the head with their bible. Even Donny knew that he had to run as a Republican and they voted the pussy grabbing, adulterous, pervert into office (with the help of The Establishment Democrat, Hillary Clinton) with holier than thou Mike "he's clean" Pence by his side. I don't know what the fuck you want to discuss, but I would hope this clarifies my position on the former party of Reagan - now the Trumpublican party - soon may it die. But it isn't like the democrats have stood as some unified bulwark against the Right. Including that fact into the discussion isn't deflection from the issue but clarification of the larger problem. I wish there were more progressives like Bernie and Tulsi in the party and fewer who support the neo-liberal status quo.
