  3. Hate the Slogan. I'm all for defunding (terminating the employment of) individual police officers or an entire department that is corrupt top to bottom, but you still need an organized group of people tasked with enforcing the laws of our shared society. One fix is that they need to be a lot more responsible to our shared society than seeing themselves as separate from and even in some cases (maybe many but I want to hope not) as being above the laws they are supposed to be enforcing. Qualified immunity + the strongest of unions is a hell of a recipe for corruption, fraud, and abuse.
