  1. They'd rather have the military on the streets than the cops because the military is glorified and put on a pedestal the police are not anymore so we trust the military more than the cops. The burning down of a police station is similarly acceptable as it sends a message of the collective outrage people have about this particular event. I suspect the percentage would drop if someone asked if it was okay to burn down any or all police stations - but maybe not. People are highly pissed at law enforcement in general right now.
