  1.  @daveleon843  Even worse, I think the security guard only claimed to smell marijuana as in the residual odor around someone who smokes marijuana the same way people can smell like tobacco if they smoke cigarettes. Not even necessarily that people were smoking in the room. That he got the cops involved while the law regulating pot are being changed shows serious lack of common sense and character. The security guard needs to be in a different line of work.

  2.  @davidlindsay9564  It sounds like the cop came on agro, which we know happens when an officer feels the need to maintain his position of authority in a potentially life-threatening situation and has adrenaline rushing through his veins, and he went straight to trying to put the civilian in cuffs. If I'm on my property minding my own business, and an officer approaches me and tries to cuff me while calling me be someone else's name I'm probably not going to respond to politely either. Expect the F bombs to start flying. It didn't sound like there was an initial attempt to respectfully interact with the civilian which is on the officer not the citizen. And if he thinks he's legitimately identified a fugitive from a neighboring state than maybe the officer should of had multiple officers there to back him up before he approached the potential suspect. Second officer showed up eventually so why not just wait till he was there. You're really trying to defend this particular officer who pretty obviously did a number of things wrong here - why so invested in this thread?
