  1. We've always divide ourselves for whatever reason along a wide range of odd and sometimes seemingly arbitrary ways. But we may have reached a tipping point in this country. 59:49. We've effectively been an empire ever since the end of WWII, and now that we've truly crossed into the Cyberpunk age it will be a steady slide into Corpocracy.   2. Texas/Jessup - Alright you two! You're making the rest of the Internet look bad - I LIKE IT!!! Thank you for showing us what an actual conversation looks like. And this is the beauty of what America is supposed to be. We can disagree without being a-holes about it - even though tard did get thrown out there, an apology was offered. That's a lesson I'm sure I could apply to some of my own posts. We can live our own best lives and simply not get together in person and, barring the exceptional, try to force each other to live the way the we think is the right way. For example, I'm a hodgepodge of beliefs from the left and right. Liberals are generally more forgiving of my weirdness and I love a good library. Add to that that I've grown up around and have enough conservatives in my family to know that I could never live in that world, Small towns and rural life definitely have an appeal, but I'll never fit in there so I'm a city dweller and probably always will be. Even when I lived in Texas it was in Austin. Respect ourselves and treat each other the way we would want to be treated and that should solve a fair chunk of what seems to be going wrong lately. In the words of one of our modern day bards -- Stop pointing fingers and take some blame, Pull your future away from the flame Open up your mind and start to live Amen.
