That's part of it, but it's much more about theater and keeping us distracted by the oligarchical Owner class and at eachothers throats over the false narrative of Left versus Right.

@LuisAldamiz But the older ones do love their socialist programs - they are more socialist than they realize and confuse "communist" with "socialist" due to a lifetime of jingoistic indoctrination. And plenty of people who would identify as democrats and think of themselves as being on the left aren't socialists either. Socialist, much like anarchist, is a broad term that is used incorrectly and with little understanding by many people. And I'll add that my day-to-day life has a lot more in common with a poor person who identifies as"right" than any billionaire. To quote another YouTuber - it isn't red versus blue, it's the 1% versus me and you.

@LuisAldamiz I hear what you are saying and appreciate your thoughts - good stuff for me to think about. I'd love to hang out and get more into it all. I'll still argue that I probably still have more in common with a poor conservative person than a billionaire. But I'm not a socialist - or an anarchist or capitalist. I fall more into the left on most topics but I have some beliefs that would fall under the right side too. I find both useful and problematic issues with all of these labels. I'm just a guy trying to walk and chew gum at the same time. It doesn't always make sense, but I'm a complicated man and no one understands me but my cat. Thanks for engaging in a constructive way, my friend.
