  1. His philosophy wasn't wrong; but Ted shouldn't have killed and injured those people. He might have made a real difference instead of just ending up another crazy person in prison.

  2.  @Yhorm  Fallacious argument; no one can can know what might have been. Had Ted put the energy and creativity he had for the IED's he built towards something constructive instead of destructive there's no telling what he might have accomplished. From what I know about his background, there were more than a few "if only" moments in the course of his life where things could have changed for the better.
