  1. Maybe if more non-white people were doing the mass shooting we'd see some concern. But gun laws have historically been used to allow the dominant white culture access to firearms while denying the same access to people from indigenous and other minority groups the same access. Killer Mike pointed out the other night that for a long time a black man could only own a shotgun because it is only useful at fairly close range and a Klansman running from the cross he just set alight in some families yard wouldn't have to worry about getting shot with a rifle that could actually kill him.
