As much as Joe is into NASA stuff I'm surprised he didn't mention this -- "In the event of someone on board a NASA craft threatening to open a hatch, disable the oxygen supply, or commit suicide, a three stage procedure must be followed, according to the protocol. First other crew members on board need to restrain the rogue astronaut, using duct tape to bind their wrists and ankles..." Then they uses bungee cords to keep them in one place and administer meds to sedate them, all the while explaining to the OOC astronaut what they are doing and why to try and help calm them down.
