In Texas? Good luck with that - they've got the state gerrymandered too well.

@thenoseknows9391 Fair enough. Then you explain how he's won twice. Just too many Texans who'd rather own the libs?

People talk about it plenty, there just isn't widespread agreement on solutions so there isn't much news to report. Vegans want everyone to be vegans and people who are not vegans don't or won't for a variety of reasons. And often the more activist vegans, vegetarians who do talk about stopping animal agriculture have an all-or-nothing message and use appeals to emotion to argue their position. That intolerance and shaming can make them their own worst enemies at trying to convert us "meat-eating monsters and murderers". There's naturally a strong pro-life energy to activist vegans that is very similar to the energy and intolerance anti-abortionists display, and people who are pro-choice generally don't get converted by angry and militant people making those kinds of absolutist arguments. Even some solutions that do get talked about are pretty much of a no go for activist vegans and vegetarians who are the people most often talking about how bad animal agriculture is for the environment. Adding seaweed to a cows diet can reduce the methane gas they belch out by over 80%. And using dispersed, regenerative ranching instead of spreading toxic waste treatment bio-solids on farmland helps rebuild soils and naturally fertilizes fields. But these don't eliminate animal agriculture instead of improving it and reducing emissions, so those and other similar solutions aren't even part of their conversation when it does happen.
