Anyone who thinks this is a Republic, let alone a Democracy, is fooling themselves. There is only one word to describe the U.S. - oligarchy. Always has been - always will be a nation of the 1% for the 1% by the elected officials of the 1%. "Fighting fire with empty words while the banks get fat, and the poor stay poor, and the rich get rich, and the cops get paid to look away as the one percent rules America" - just as true today as when Queensryche recorded Spreading The Disease back in the 80's.

  8. You're fooling yourself if you believe that. If the U.S. left the world stage tomorrow Russia and China and NoKorea and Israel and Iran and France and Germany and England and Saudi Arabia and a host of other nations would all be right there to take our place. Most of them are already there.

  10. I'm sure the CIA does some good, but it does so much more bad that it needs to be abolished. Not gonna happen, but we'd probably be safer in the long run. Although the other foreign intel agencies of Russia and China and No Korea and Israel and and and would step into the void and wreak their own horrors on the world and the U.S. At this point maybe the best answer is a climate disaster that wipes out the nation states and 80%+ of the worlds population. Unfortunately the 1% of the 1% and their enforcers and retinue would be among the survivors. The ruling class almost always survives the chaos and rebuilds in the ashes.
