I don't know about zionist or the deep state or the illuminati, but people in the United States have become more tribal and fractured over the past decade for a variety of reasons but mostly because it's more comfortable to gather and interact with people you identify with. This isn't really anything new, it's just being expressed in a new way and to new extremes using the various social media platforms. The Oligarchs have always been coming up with ways to keep us distracted from recognizing our shared interests and joining together in anything more than minor collectives or clubs. The top few probably always will run things until the facade of our Republic can no longer be hidden behind even ironically. Then we'll see the final take over and rebranding to something like an Incorporated States of America or they'll announce a lottery to help determine the "lucky ones" who will get to go with them into the Ark to ride out the impending ecological collapse.
