  1. It is just a commonly known symbol used to distinguish between Russian and Ukrainian forces. It doesn’t have to mean anything. It might, but that does not really matter

  2. before anyone says anything in response to  @altergreenhorn ; that 80% figure may very well be ( and probably is ) an exaggeration, but it still makes sense that it is relatively high ( at least to me ), as most of the videos do come from Ukrainians, who have more access to their own destroyed vehicles than to the enemy’s. ( also, the markings are absent on some Russian vehicles, and on some of the O-ones it is only visible on the top surfaces for some reason )
