  2. reminds me of that advert for a medication lowering the risk of heart attack by 30%…. or, i should say by 0.3 times, as the actual decrease in probability was around 0.01* iirc * amongst some specific group of people, i don’t remember which one, but probably the old, who are already at increased risk
