  11. in addition to all of that, XCode also steals the spot for the default application for almost every plain text file format except .txt itself, meaning you keep accidentally opening it.

  12. plists are absolutely everywhere in OSX, so i don't think Apple will be replacing them, especially considering they just made a tool to generate them automatically, hopefully meaning you won't have to interact with plists directly ever again.
