Why are the first lines of so many people written in HTML. This was the case for me too, but i no longer remember why.

As far as i understand the difference is that: Programming refers to creation and optimization of algorithms, data structures, ect. as well as their implementation. Coding refers only to their implementation. But i have never seen anyone actually use that distinction.

So in other words, the words speak for themselves: Programming is the act of designing a program to fit a set of requirements, creating it, and improving it. Coding is the act of turning that into code.
