  1. It is old enough to be a universal part of military culture now, it is probably been 50+ years since the first time an american or englishman came up with it. That's enough time for two generations of warriors to spread it everywhere as common military language. That, and the US military has obviously been the blueprint for all others for some time.

  4. The fact is, if you compete with China and Mexico for labour, you are reducing the value of labour in your country. If you compete with the US and Australia for food, you reduce the quality of your local food sources the same way. Local food and local labor MUST be protected to have a country. Everyone pretends culture doesn't evolve and that's what makes nations: cultural regression. But the truth is a shared community is what makes a nation. And right now the world is sharing a community with corrupt, power hungry, wannabe slave owners. Foreign food should be expensive and local food should be cheaper.
