Because it is a silly place run by silly people with silly traditions.

This was actually a massive treat. Seeing the aftermath of grand tour, seeing the modifications to make a db9 offroad, and watching a master mechanic go through a diagnosis.

For complicated reasons relating to the current unique state of the British government and how the BBC is funded we are now able to have a celebrity do a lap in our reasonably priced car! Introducing Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and the last driver the reasonably priced car will ever have, Richard Hammond!

@remyllebeau77 propaganda has convinced the former don't tread on me types that they need to support fascists or people will have freedoms they don't believe in.

In fairness a lot of his opinion made it into the show.

@bultacowally You are a moron, please stop trying to speak for all Americans.

Never stop using HMS Engineering boss looking through the window clips. Mike you really doing a fantastic job in some big shoes.

@ZackFlairr Didn't may not marry his girlfriend for like 30 years? Maybe it's for tax reasons and the complicated way a car laundering journalist institution pays for all the cars?

I genuinely loved this show more than anything else and I've been watching top gear forever. Such a wonderful thing you've done Jeremy, I hope you keep doing it and you've convinced me I do want to be a farmer

Hammond is a wise old man.

Difference is the country folk can absolutely handle him and do!

@billymanilli They should only mess with cars for safety I think

@the80386 Exactly, it's why straight six diesel trucks are more popular in america and australia where they can fit those big straight sixes under the hoods
2
Clarkson is a catalyst, no doubt about it.

I wondered what ever happened to the free valve stuff. Anyone else remember the thing years ago with the camless engine in a minivan ?

Question for James: what tank, aircraft, spacecraft, or naval ship, would he most like to be in able to operate. Sort of a forbidden fruit as most of us won't ever drive an atlas rocket, tirpitz, sr71, Sherman tank or what have you.

For the spa, USE IT

The presentations Jeremy and his mates have done on F1 over the years GOT me into F1 and cars and racing. ...imagine my disappointment when I actually watched a F1 race after all the stories of how it used to be. Every time I feel compelled to watch it I find a sport somehow more dull than golf and give up again.

I'd like a curry, but I also have heard a lot about the "driver experience" of the 911. I'm afraid my budget won't allow for both Indian food and German cars. My thought process is the fan base of 911's are a bit obnoxious but a curry has a lot less resale value. Any advice ?

I'd honestly like them to be proper boffins and innovate a real useful item out of old cars
