These hedge guys or people who missed out are trying to get us retail investors to sell so they can swoop in and buy for cheap. NO, I'm NOT selling! The longer those who choose to stay on the sidelines will pay even higher a year from now. I bought , Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Adobe, Wells Fargo, Twitter

Back to school shopping is happening for Apple Macbooks, iPads, subscriptions. I replaced a 5 year old 13in Macbook Pro for a new 13in Macbook Pro with 16GB ram/1TB SSD for $1999 and $250 Applecare. Apple watch, 5G iphone coming in Oct 2020. I bought Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Adobe, Wells Fargo, Twitter

Microsoft will be the cloud winner because its moat is Azure (private cloud) which cannot be copied by other companies which have public cloud (Amazon, Google, etc.). Due to federal compliance laws, some companies (banks) must keep data in the U.S. in a private cloud. Microsoft is saving money by closing the stores at the malls. For young people, Microsoft already has the minecraft game, Xbox. Microsoft gets TikTok as a cloud customer; also means that Tiktok would incur less cloud expense so its profit also improves! Tiktok and LinkedIn are freebie icings on the Microsoft cake.

I doubt Apple is doomed. I owned 3 Android smartphones between 2010-2014 but I have since switched to Apple iPhones. I just bought Apple stock a month ago and it's up +20%.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 You still need a powerful computer locally to create content, then push it to the cloud for consumption. Example: video editing. You don't want to upload all the raw footage (slow) then edit on the cloud. It's faster to edit the raw footages on your local computer then only upload the final product to the cloud.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 I move data around Fortune 10 companies for a living. I create and test on my laptop. ONLY after it works do I upload to the cloud.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 Mainframe computer is entirely (creation and consumption) done on the server. I've used VAX and IBM AS400.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 Unlike a dumb terminal, a powerful local computer such as a POS (point of sale) allows it to continue to collect data even when the network connection is down, then synchronize with the server when the connection is restored. Powerful local computer computers are still necessary such as security, building automation, etc.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 5G maybe faster and have less latency BUT you're still limited by the phone carrier's lower data limits than a cable line at home.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 Apps like facial recognition still needs a powerful local processor and powerful cameras, biometric sensors, etc.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 Cloud and webapps are stateless. I used to be a web developer 2010-2015.

@warntheidiotmasses7114 Actually, some high end companies are doing better during this recession: Apple, Peleton exercise bike, Lululemon, supercars, Tesla. Except Neiman Marcus, and some others.
