  4. I think yes and no. Yes, less sound deadening makes a sports car lighter like my Corvette C7 and I can hear the exhaust better by rolling down my windows or taking the targa top off. But when I want to cruise on the highway on a long trip, I don't want to hear the droning of the exhaust so I want the sound insulation in the walls and the ability to close the exhaust baffles, and the Corvette C7 can do this.
