  1. I'm an American and when I visied France in 2000 and 2018, I rented a Peugeot stickshift in 2000 and I couldn't belive how the handling was so much better than American cars. The diesel engine had torque and the range went on forever. In 2018 I rented a Renault Grand Scenic minivan and wow The diesel engine had torque and the range went on forever...but it was too big to maneuver in Paris parking garages...felt like a Hummer1 compared to the other tiny French cars in the parking garages even though it was about the size of a Mazda MPV minivan. Too bad that Americans don't like diesel and stickshift! ------ So in the US I drive a bought new 2017 Corvette stickshift, and my wife drives a bought new 2024 Cadillac XT4... love these cars. Kids have the 2019 Toyota Camry SE and 2016 VW Jetta... great fun cars
