  5. IF all you're after is speed, then yes an auto tranny is faster than stick, but then why even bother with an ICE car, just get an EV instead (1 gear drag car king to 1/4 mile). To me, the farther and easier and efficient technology becomes, then less fun it is. For example, cars are faster and more efficient than riding horses but a horseback rider or a warrior on horseback is just cooler. Same with an ICE car with a manual transmission compared to an EV car (it's faster and more efficient but not very majestic).
