  1. Why not just get a big naturally aspirated engine (no lag) like a 6.2 litre Corvette with cylinder deactivation for 35mpg on the freeway? A big engine revs much lower, in fact at 70mph the Corvette revs at just 2500rpm whereas a 4 cylinder would rev at over 4000 rpm.
