...Tesla sells nothing that competes with Rivian; they have no pickup truck and the Model X is an obscenely expensive minivan with ZERO off-road ability. The Rivian R1S is a real SUV with serious off-road chops. Rivian has backers with an endless supply of money; Ford for expertise in building tough trucks and SUVs, and a real factory that they didn't have to build from scratch.
