No, I don't believe pure electric is the future because 1) my wife hates filling up the car so there's no way she's going to want an EV and have to bother plugging in and unnplugging it EVERY DAY. 2) she wants the convenience and no range anxiety of an ICE car by just pulling into the next gas station. 3) there's waiting in long public charging lines for your turn and then another hour to charge it. 4) on long out of town trips, you may have to drive out of your way to find a public charging station. 5) Tesla's battery replacement costs $10k, so the used car market for it makes EVs worthless when their value comes close to $10k. Therefore, I think the future is plug-in hybrid (PHEV) like u see in supercars Ferrari SF90, Lambo, McLaren, Porsche, Acura NSX, Koenigsegg. In 2021 Toyota Rav4 will be plugin hybrid. Plugin Hybrid have the instant power like an EV and the benefit of a gas engine so you never have range anxiety. Or plugin hybrid can go for short distances on pure electric.
