I commented earlier on this story and left a youtube link: https://youtu.be/tLRGjBDRsto It seems to me that this is about someone who has worked ahrd and earnt their place in sport and as a presenter. In contrast, she is being goaded by a man who scraped into government by the backdoor in 2007 and who fails absolutely to observe the basic principles that a peer of the realm acts with kindness and consideration and thinks before he speaks. Given the amount of airtime and newspaper coverage he has monopolised this morning to clarify his opinion, it is clear he did not think before he made the remarks about Alex Scott MBE. More than that, his attempt to make a distinction between elocution and accent is spurious and his efforts to pass the buck and claim that Alex has played the class card are fr ankly beneath contempt. What a thoughtless and completely unworthy plonker. Professor Tim Wilson
