  3. However "politicized" the question has become, that doesn't absolve the Chinese of their guilt for failing to do the humane thing, which was to be open and transparent. Period. Then you build your politics (your foreign policy, your diplomacy) on top of that foundational truth. Which doesn't necessarily mean condemning the Chinese, but it's taking both the high ground and (conveniently) the humane ground.

  38. So? How does that contradict what Bremmer said? He's one of Bolsonaro's most direct and vocal critics. Regardless of the details of the supply source---and, frankly, regardless of the faith of the populist's constituency----the infrastructure, the institutional competence, and the social trust are already there. Kudos to all of the Brazilian leaders who have done the right thing.
