  2. I don't feel like that's really a category unto itself. I think of it as technology. And I think that industrialization is about technology, if nothing else. It wasn't as if there was a single era of medical advance. Not that I---. You understand. Great respect, but I do think there is a difference.

  9. Carl Sagan committed the same transgression with his 1977 book _The Dragon of Eden_, which stands entirely on the (already, at that time) a-scientific premise of the "triune brain." A lot of us read that as young people, and it took too long for people like Lisa Feldman Barrett to come along and convincingly disabuse us of this nonsense, however well-intended it was.
