  3. The 90s choice. I was thinking, "Eh, they weren't THAT popu---. Wait. Duh. My daily driver in the 90s was a black 4Runner in the best trim package, with a grill guard and a brush bar and a big-ass hitch on the back. Manual." Haha. We all thought we were so original. EDIT: Yeah, I guess I kind of forgot about the Explorer. Blocked that cheap little thing out of my mind. That's the thing, though. It was little. And cheap (shoddy). I never really thought of the Explorer as an---. When did we start using the term "SUV?" Seems like we just called them "trucks" until well after 2000. I agree on the choice. It was ubiquitous, and it set the table for the future. But still ... yech. lol
