  1. I've been down there a few times, nice country, beautiful scenery, egotistical culture (best way I can describe it). I don't know how Milei is going to get a lot done since he's not connected to the (overall) Argentine 'political machine', but I was wondering if he, as president, has the power to simply stop the printing of pesos? By that I mean just print enough to replace what's in circulation, but stop the printing of excess cash that is one of their big problems. Also wondering if he has the power to limit issuance of Argentine sovereign bonds and acceptance of international financial instruments (like IMF funds and similar) to limit available funds the government can spend. And they need to develop a budget/multi-year budget and stick to it.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Argentina nationalized oil production quite a while ago under the state-owned YPF Company. Its corrupt as can be. One of Milei's goals was to sell it off to let it run on the free-market, also other state-owned companies. If its turned private then landowners and the oil company (or companies) can wheel & deal among themselves to drill and produce crude.
