I'd go one step further, South Africa is a country on the verge of collapse, a good metaphor for where BRICS seems to be heading. As Peter and someone else mentioned, India is there just to keep China from totally dominating the organization and the 'Global South.' They are doing pretty well by staying non-aligned and (right now) better off doing their own deals, as they did with Saudi Arabia (or was it the UAE?) and Russia for oil.

That brings to mind writer Mark Twain's quote about water: "In California whiskey is for drinking and water is for fighting over". Maybe Egypt and Ethiopia are headed in the same direction.

Now I'm wondering how Sudan feels about this since flows of the Blue Nile and White(?) Nile come together at Khartoum before heading down to Egypt. Maybe another video for Peter?

@felipemachado9887 Mostly its been a constant re-financing of existing IMF/World Bank loans. Argentina did get 'cut-off' from new financing when Nester Kirchner was in office, but I believe that resulted in a restructuring and reduction in the existing loan, and the cut-off was for any more funds until a significant payback plan was in place and working.

Well I sure don't hear about migrant people beating down the door to get into any of the BRICS countries, either the founding members or the new additions. Compare that to the border crisis's of the United States, the E.U., and the U.K. and a few other westernized countries.
