There's an ocean on the left and an ocean on the right. Even though its a highly connected world these days those oceans are still good insulators from takeovers by overseas entities. Now if Trump would just quit pissing off the two big neighbors (Canada and Mexico) all three of us would be sitting in one of the best geopolitical locations on the planet.

@Ayvengo21 They were doing that back in the 1980s when I was working in hi-tech manufacturing. There were plenty of USA-made semiconductors found in captured Soviet systems back then so it started way before that time.

@3d1e00 Shell companies and strawmen intermediaries have been around for ages. Back in the 1980s a popular route for sensitive goods was to get them to Europe, transit to Austria, then through the Austria/Hungary border (a little 'looser' than others) and from there they went deeper into the USSR.

@paulzx2000 Really? Folks want to voluntarily move from the West to Russia at this time? I can see some of the crazier ones doing that, but the USA losing someone like Steven Seagal to Russia is more of a benefit than a loss.

I wonder why he didn't mention China more in this video. They are known to have an eye on the Russian Far East for its natural resources and access to the Arctic. I'm almost sure if a dissolution were to happen that they would immediately occupy the area under the guise of 'policing it' and 'maintaining it' for law-and-order purposes temporarily (maybe a few 100 years?) while things settled out in Russia proper. Also the short mention of China being a straw man buying oil production equipment for Russia - besides refineries I'm not aware China has any oil exploration or extraction capabilities.
