  1. Speaking of collapsing in on itself . . . I was wondering if the rise is 'excess service fees' among travel related service providers might disappear. Its annoying as heck to see these types of fees everywhere and for everything you thought would be included in the original price, and you have to argue with staff to try to get a few of them eliminated. Its most definitely made me adjust my travel options and the frequency that I go places. Maybe its a great way to increase profit per customer for the companies charging them, but if customers are like me they either resist them or just don't patronize certain service providers anymore. I did a ton of travel in the late-1980s through mid 2000s, have no desire to go overseas anymore (and its gotten quite expensive, too!). There's plenty in the USA within an 8-hour day-long drive of my home to interest me, and a day (or two) camping between hotel stays helps keep the costs down.
