  1. When talking about "leadership in the post-cold war era", maybe mention the rise of China as an economic force? From about 1980 to the present its built itself up as a major part of the world economy thought that may be changing with its current leadership (Xi) starting to exert a more aggressive military posture on the world stage (bluff or not, it may be a FAFO situation). Trump trying to back the USA away from the world stage is playing into both Russia's and China/Xi's hands.
