I thought the biggest amount of capital investing in USA land was from the U.K. (Canada & Japan were #2 & #3). I guess with the conditions in in the U.K. these days maybe some folks have repatriated their ₤ Sterling home to the U.K. to fund their lifestyles.

The purchase near the military base in northern California turned out to be by a group of very rich Silicon Valley investors looking to develop their own version of Utopia. The Chinese are investing in bio-labs further south near Fresno.😉

@SnowmanTF2 True that. Japan would be like you describe for the U.K. investors. I know there are quite a few Japanese-owned office buildings here in the Los Angeles area. Cheers.
