  1. Trump and the China tariffs: I bet he dropped those so he could get a good inventory of his 'Trump Mobile' phones into the USA on the cheap. Buy an overpriced $500 phone just because its branded "Trump"? It'll probably have more dropped calls and texting fails than Trump has policy shifts.

  2. I thought the unemployment numbers are a lagging indicator as you can't apply until three weeks after you are laid off (it happened to me 20 years ago, so may have changed). But July will be indicative since June 30 is the end of the fiscal quarter and any summer staffing will have been in place since late May or June.
