I'd think it would be dispersion of manufacturing from its current 'heartland' in China to a variety of other countries in southeast and southern Asia, maybe even Africa. Anything that comes back to the USA will be high-value stuff, not toys and games and clothing and household goods from Walmart/Target/Home Depot and similar retail stores. And as for financial markets, I wonder if Peter has taken note that the average P/E ratio these days is way up. 15-20 is considered healthy for a business, 30 is considered overvalued, but right now a lot are sitting at 60. 😳

A lot of stuff I used to buy in stores I now buy on the web. Better selection and pricing. But I don't use Amazon as to me it looks like a lot of cheap Chinese junk that isn't going to last very long.

I'm in California, home of a few big year-round agricultural region. When I go buy groceries I notice most of the fresh fruits and veggies are from Mexico. When I buy frozen veggies the label on the bag says they are from Mexico. When I buy canned products they come from Mexico and a variety of other countries - Thailand (pineapple and other tropical fruits), Brazil/Argentina (canned meats), orange juice (Brazil & Mexico). The only category of foods I can think of that come primarily from the USA are dairy (milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese). So if a lot of illegal immigrants working in ag get deported I'm not going to miss a lot of fresh foods.

@rasfarengi I'm a boomer, I wish my money had come from an inheritance so I would not have had to work for it.
