The Chinese always like to promote how well they work with Africa and the success of the 'Belt & Road' on the continent, so I wonder why they didn't exploit this rail line and natural resources opportunity in SW Africa. Sure, its on the Atlantic coast, but strategically I'd think the Chinese would recognize the value of controlling that export path if it just needed to be rehabilitated. Or did they already try to do that and just piss off the Angolan leadership? Now to see how Joe and the USA can help out and possibly work out a deal.
