  1. I think China has its eyes on that area. They'll include it on 'official' map updates and call it the northern "90 Dash Line" or something similar.

  2. I was thinking China might be involved, doing it through a proxy militia like an ISIS group (even with their Muslim Uighar issues). I wouldn't put it past Beijing to want to topple the existing Russian government and grab the far-eastern part of the Russian empire.

  3. Intel garnered off the interwebs/social media platforms, including phone chatter and that sort of stuff. If they have a website they are probably just posting pretty 'general' and non-specific info, and a lot of recruitment propaganda.
