  1. But hasn't the mosquito population in summer increased, and for longer periods of time? They're not as big as Alaska's mosquitos (aka the 'Alaskan state bird'), but I'll bet they are just as ravenous for a blood meal.

From this video the developed countries with their shrinking populations will eliminate carbon sources (fossil fuels, etc) as their energy sources, but the poorer countries with population growth will continue to use carbon-based fuels (fossil fuels and wood, etc) for energy sources. That doesn't sound like anything is being achieved, just the source of global warming gases is changing. We'll leave China out of this since they want to play both sides of the economics game to their advantage.
