  1. Great Information. With regard to the 'sweet' crude coming from the Kazakh portion of the Caspian Sea fields - couldn't the Saudis supply that (if they wanted to cheat on the agreed OPEC volumes)? A lot closer to than the USA shale products for Europe. All the OPEC nations seem to cheat relentlessly and have numerous excuses for doing it when the practice is exposed, and Saudi Arabia makes a few extra $$$ in the process. I know the rail lines could be problematic (differing gauges), but couldn't Ukraine's neighbors to the west & southwest help out with grain shipments? With both Russian and Ukrainian shipments by sea cut off and the possibility of severe food shortages in Africa/Middle East/Southern Asia, it would seem like a viable option (providing Turkey would allow the shipments through the Bosphorous Strait, most likely claiming 'humanitarian need').
