As for taking the shift lever out of your truck, I'm guessing it is a top loader where you press down on the retainer and turn like a old type tail light bulb. Well, see the slot and shift rail where the shifter goes? All it takes is a screw driver to shift into a gear and drive away.

If a car is heading East on Fairmount ( parallel to the house ) and is struck by another car pushing it into the end of the guardrail that does not have an impact attenuator, the car is going to be speared and possibly severely injure the driver.
