  21. You would need to prove that the person selling the statures was the one that stole them. Say a person bought a house and the statures were in the garage, they can't be charged with KNOWINGLY possessing or selling stolen items. Say you bought a car and have a legit title from the state, if the car turns out to have been stolen from another state, are YOU willing to go to jail for theft?
