The person that signed and paid for the first night should be held liable for the bill. The court would agree however , collecting is another mater. You can get a judgment but if the person has no assets, you get nothing. Also, in some states, the judgment needs to be reinstated after a period of time otherwise it expires. The next issue is. Can one of these groups sue a business if they refuse to rent rooms to them?
