  1. Great effort by all. A few things to note: Water pumps can only suck to an elevation of about 25 ft ( 7.3 M ) due to atmospheric pressure and a " larger " pump won't make a difference. Moving the physical pump to a lower elevation or even below the elevation of the water will result in more flow. It is far easier to push water than it is to draw water. Be sure to take care of all of the workers. Fatigue is going to set in as well as the psychological strain from everything being turned upside down. This kind of physical working environment is dangerous enough for people used to it let alone those that are unfamiliar and fatigued. There are bound to be some mental healthcare workers on the ground , make use of their services.

  2. Another issue is if well meaning but unskilled people show up and get hurt, that places a drain on first responder resources. For example, when there is a major snow storm and officials close roads / ban travel. This is so first responders don't risk their lives saving someone that really didn't need to be on the road / take resources away from a person that is in actual need through no fault of their own.

  7. Misha it is OK to post your feelings. Having this info puts a balance against any news outlet. There are channels that never dive into much political content ( Like Scott Manley, he covers space flight at a high level ) are speaking of the ramifications to what they typically cover.

  14. Concerning the auction, someone needs to keep a close tab on who is bidding and if they have the means to follow through. Mighty Car Mods ( from Australia ) did a charity car auction and too many people that had no intent on following through bid it well into the 6 figures. Once the dust settled, MCM strongly called out the fake bidders and eventually the car sold in the low 4 figures from what I recall. As for the sale, good to see that the car was not completely lost and will eventually go to a good home.

I've noticed in other vids where you are somewhat struggling with the thought of having fun again while others are still in need. You and others are doing their part and no single person can save the world. Once the daily flood work stops, there will be a big gap in your daily routine and " survivors guilt " may set in. Be sure that all affected seek some sort of mental health help as this is a PTSD type of situation.

I'm betting that Misha's e mails were floating around the Audi office and no one particular person sat down to map out the chain of events especially due to the flood situation. Second, concerning the " I sincerely hope the car will be returned in flawless condition" . The sincerely / flawless condition portion may have been a translation issue where a person that isn't a native English speaking person may have overlooked some subtleties.

English is complicated not to mention variations of " British " English as well as USA English. We also don't know if the PR dept used a translate program or even told an intern " draft and send an e mail ".

  28. A couple of things, the van looks like it was picked up in the middle by an excavator with a grapple bucket or thumb. In the USA, events like this flood tend to bring looters out of their hiding places. Any word on if this is occurring in or near the flood zone?
