@YoungSantasGroupie I hope you won't be offended to learn that the Holodomor was a hoax invented by an American conman with a criminal record with a long string of hoaxes behind him. There's a Canadian historian who's examined the evidence for Holodomor and concluded that the whole thing was an anti-Soviet myth with no grounds in reality. The famine was real, but it was a natural phenomenon and the Soviets did their best to alleviate the suffering it caused. The worst affected were Kazakhstan (with most deaths due to starvation), Russia (the second greatest number of deaths), and Ukraine as a distant third. Thanks to the new agricultural policies adopted by the Soviets, it was also and thankfully the last of the famines that ravaged that part of the world in the 19th and the first part of the 20th century.
