  8. It's an oligarch proxy war on the Western side, yes. Not so for Russia. So much so that the West pinned it's hopes on Russian oligarchs joining hands with their Western counterparts to depose the Russian government and let the West back into Russia to loot it to their hearts' content.

I wish Kremlin took such warnings more seriously especially as I also remember Paul Craig Roberts warning throughout the 2010s that Putin's conciliatory stance and passivity in the face of the farce Ukraine and the West made of the Minsk Accords would end in a war. Exactly as happened.
