As a cradle Orthodox who spent 4 years in Catholic boarding schools attached to monasteries, I can tell you there's no real difference between Orthodox and Catholic monasteries. I understand that some Protestant ones, as in the UK, are also lovely but I haven't visited them yet.

@mariaangelicabrunellsolar7086 Nor should that be at surprising since Christian monastic culture developed before the schism, i.e. is shared by both the Catholic and the Orthodox.

I think you're reading things into Berlusconi's words that simply aren't there. He seems to be basically right: Putin was extremely reluctant to commit to Donbass and was criticized for it in Russia for 7 years straight. The scandal in Italy is that Berlusconi's going directly against the official Western narrative that Putin woke up one day and decided to invade poor innocent Ukraine just because.

@josephk4310 Again, as a cradle Orthodox who now attends liturgy (sporadically) and who's attended both Catholic masses and Anglican services, at which I also took communion, I have to disagree. But then I never had strong feelings against other Christian churches and their worship services, and while I very much appreciate both Gregorian chants and Orthodox church music (which is exceptionally beautiful), I've also enjoyed guitar masses on a spiritual level.
