Whatever this is about, the fact remains that the Russian military has been caught napping, has been shown to be badly organized, and is losing territory. The least Russia ought to have done before all those victorious signing ceremonies is secure the 4 regions so that Ukrainian forces couldn't take back a single village, let alone whole towns, as has already happened and is happening. And it failed in accomplishing even that much. I find that failure seriously disappointing and not a little bewildering. I can't but feel that those of us who do support and love Russia do ourselves and Russia itself no favours by refusing to acknowledge these facts by dancing around them and indulging in largely empty irony as our copium.
